How it works

1

Step 1

Reserve your beef with a deposit.  We will mail you a receipt and your deposit will be applied to your total purchase price of the beef. We will call you to notify you that your animal is ready to be taken to Reed's and will call again after delivery to let you know the total due.

2

Step 2

Send a check for that amount and then call Reed's to tell them how you would like the meat cut (not available for one quarter beef).  Reed's is very helpful if you have questions about various cuts.

3

Step 3

Reed's will let you know when your meat is ready (usually about 2 weeks).  When you pick up your order, pay Reed's the processing fee and your portion of the slaughter fee.

Example!

A 1,000 pound live weight animal at a 1/2 beef equals 500 pounds.  The live weight for this half beef at $2.75 per pound is $1,375.  Subtracting the $200 original deposit paid upfront equals $1,175 due to us.

An approximate processing fee of $410.00 due to Reed's at pick up.

Grand total for live weight and processing of this example is $1,585.00
